I started P90X yesterday. Well, I started it last week, but got sick and had to begin again this week. So, I’m on Day Two of the “Lean” version. I wanted to share my progress with all of you.

I’ve had a bit of a negative self-image ever since I can remember. I’ve limited myself, thinking “Oh, I can’t do that” or “I need to lose a little weight, or be a little stronger to do that”. No more. I want to be able to do what I want to do. I want to rock climb, I want to take dance lessons, I want to do martial arts, I want to jump off cliffs…and this is my step towards those things.

Tip of the day, though: these things take time. I’ve been a low fat raw vegan for more than a year, and though I’ve lost a bit (about 20 pounds, give or take) I’m obviously not to where I want to be. Be patient with yourself. Try your best to be comfortable with where you’re at, and know that a healthy outside will come, in time, to match your healthy insides.
